Today Forbes portal wrote about a new way of Dating - Dating for animals!

Keepers at the Riverbanks Zoo are looking for Mr.Right for their Koala in a computerized matchmaking service.As the author says, "Just like the digital dating services that pair up people, so-called studbooks are used to match most animals held in captivity. The databases containing information on sex, age and weight - not so much about favorite comfort foods or long walks on the beach - are used by more than 200 zoos nationally and some internationally".

Technology is fast and now new software is going to the Web, promising more easily accessible data, faster matches and - in a page out of the most particular of human dating sites - details on an animal's personality to ease what can be a testy process.

I actually think they could take any ready-made matchmaking software and run it for animals. They have the same parameters and search necessities like Perfect Match and Advanced search possibilities.

The author also adds: "It's not exactly animals finding love online, but experts say matchmaking software for zoos is bringing together the single most important factor in ensuring the survival of animals - people."

May be it's a good idea too make such sites for Zoos all over the world! Good luck!

A group of lonely heart farmers have put their photographs on milk bottles in an attempt to find love.

Five single dairy farmers are advertising on Calon Wen milk with the slogan Fancy a Farmer to mark St Dwynwen's Day, the Welsh St Valentine. The idea came from Calon Wen director and single farmer Iwan Jones, from Groes, near Denbigh - one of five farmers whose picture is featured.

Mr Jones said the countryside could be "a hard place to find a date". The 30-year-old said he came up with the idea for the rural matchmaking venture after realising a large number of Welsh farmers were single. He said: "Calon Wen was founded to support family farmers but a quarter of our members are single, which was becoming a bit of a joke. We want to encourage farmers to consider online dating as a fun way of meeting people."

The project is jointly run with online dating agency Pishyn (Welsh slang for gorgeous) where people who log on can find out more details about the farmers involved. On his own milk bottle sticker, Mr Jones lists his interests as "supporting Wrexham FC and listening to music".

The project, which features three male and two female farmers, is being launched on Thursday to coincide with St Dwynwen's Day - the Welsh equivalent of St Valentine's. (news source BBC News)

On Friday a dating agency for animals opened in Krasnoyarsk at the trade fair "New Year Fairy-Tale" in Exhibition Center "Siberia". The project author Yelena Tulaeva said her agency will help pet owners to organize weddings for their pets.

"Everyone can bring one's pet to the agency, either a dog or a cat, and our experts will find a mate for it. We can also organize a wedding ceremony following all the wedding traditions. We will dress the bride in white and make photos," she explained.

As Newslab reported earlier, the trade fair "New Year Fairy-Tale" in International Buisiness Exhibition Center "Siberia" will be held between December, 15 and 24. New Year morning shows for children, performances and contests will be held as part of the event.

The program also includes fashion shows, master classes on florist design of exotic flowers, body art, make-up, batik, painting, leather, accessories and astrology. Apart from this, the exhibition center opens a skating rink that will be working all winter long. (news source english.newslab.ru)

That's really funny! For me dating for pets is strange as they do not have an opportunity to express their opinion. And I suppose it'll be more like Dating with Pets Site that will unite people who adore their pets and wish to have fun at their weddings and other events.
