Today I would like to write down questions that came to my mind and possible answers that I managed to find. The key theme is realationships and trust.
How much do we trust our partners? And if it's online relatioship?
- Suppose the answer will be "Not much" in most of the cases. At least there'll be a time criteria for a relationship.
What time do we need to trust a person?
- I suppose it depends. Sometimes we just cannot stop being suspicious about our partner. Sometimes, just the other way round, we trust from the first glance or a short period of time.
What does it depend on?
- Usually, visual image tells everything. It's on a level of intuition that we feel confident with a person. And it happens that we can live with a person the whole life and still conceal our thoughts, actions and even funds. According to the latest survey in Great Britain, millions of people are hiding the real state of their financial affairs from their partners. According to the research, more than 7.5 million people in Britain have a secret stash of money, usually an undeclared bank account, that they are keeping secret from their significant other. Besides, the 25 to 34-year-old age group is shown to be the most secretive, with 14 per cent admitting to having a secret cache.
Quite a number! The same happens online (excluding Dating Sites for millionaires). No matter how open we try to be to find a partner, we hide our inner habits, former relationships and many more. It's extremely difficult to trust unknown person online! And even if you meet, how can you trust if you met online?
Do computer matches provide sympathy between people that can lead to trust?
- Probably not. Perfect Match compares profile parameters and gives results. It actually connects people by what they have written. Who knows what is true?
So what's the solution?
- I would stand for Speed Dating Events that give an atmosphere of communication, relax and joy. It's also an opportunity of eye-to-eye contact that leads to stable relationships and that is to mutual trust and understanding. After that people can go to site as a tool of comunication when they cannot get together.
And at last, one more idea: I'm sure that every Dating and Networking Site should have this events plan to make user interaction more rapid and effective. I really enjoy this idea of offline communication from time to time to make "real matches" and not those fake ones that first lead to marriages and then to divorces. I read that most of the divorces in US come out of "online relationships". There's something to think over! Good luck!

Well, I think speed dating and online dating have their own advantages. We should not depend on one way to find our matches.

Here's a suggestion people ignore: Be honest on your online profile! Don't make stuff up, you may land that date but you will blow it when you're not who they think you are. And use and up to date for for goodness sake! If you can't use a professional Online Photo Service like http://www.datingheadshots.com then at least get a friend to take a nice photo of you. We cannot say that online dating is completely worse when compared to speed dating. There are few who really give out their original profile in online dating. When it comes to daters it doesn't matter whether it is of speed dating or online dating to find their partners. If one doesn't believe in their partner obviously they cannot have good relationships.
