Pew Research about the virtues and downsides of online dating

The latest Pew Research report showed that today 30% of American adults use dating apps. In 2013, this ration was 11%.

They surveyed over 4,800 users and found that 12% of them have long-term relationships that started on dating sites or apps.  And 57% of respondents view online dating in a positive light.

The report also showed that 37% of users were receiving messages even after they expressed their disinterest, 35% received unsolicited messages or images, 28% were verbally abused and 5% were threatened with physical harm.
