Match.com is launching a new time-sensitive feature called “72 Hours” to facilitate more meaningful connections among users.

This weekly feature allows users to message potential matches for three days before the conversation disappears. Members can select nearby profiles on a map and start conversations, aiming to make weekend plans before time runs out. The feature is initially available in New York and will be rolled out nationwide to combat conversations that never progress beyond the app.

Contrary to common beliefs, 63% of seniors use social media every day, with family (71%), friends (49%), and good weather (26%) being the top three sources of joy for them.
