Top grossing dating apps worldwide for November 2019

Sensor Tower has published its “Top Apps” list for November 2019.

The first place went to Tinder once more, with its $82M in user spending.

Bumble took second place with $18M in gross revenue.

Badoo closes the top three, followed by Pairs and Tantan.

Tencent launches new ‘anonymous’ dating app, Dengyu Jiaoyou

Chinese tech giant Tencent keeps on covering the Asian market with different niche apps. The latest released app is a video dating app Dengyu Jiaoyou.

The app users “can post text messages or images in a “plaza” which are visible to other users. Those who are interested can reply to the messages and start private conversations.”

The Dengyu Jiaoyou was supposedly created after Tencent deactivated WeChat’s “Drift Bottle” feature  which allowed users to write text or voice messages for strangers to pick up within the app.

Facebook IQ team analyzed and published top trends and topics that dominated social feeds n the previous decade.

  • One of the main topics was sustainability. In the US and Germany: it was presented in the adoption of plant-based diets. The UK and Sweden: in eco-friendly clothing.
  • New channels appeared: podcasts and mobile games. In Indonesia, a notable amount of gamers moved towards mobile to participate in a growing e-sports community.
  • Brazilian trend: the rise of crafts and hands-on activities, as well as outdoor pursuits. Canada: people started taking up gardening.
  • Desire to make everyday moments seem special. Thailand: a craft coffee craze. The US: usage of “special bath soaks and chill-out music” to create a spa-like atmosphere.
