WhatsApp challenges Indian law in court

India is a strategic segment for WhatsApp: messenger is actively used by almost half a billion people in the country. A decree was issued on the mandatory identification of message senders. This clause contradicts WhatsApp‘s privacy policy, and the company is challenging the constitutionality of the new legislation in the Supreme Court.
