The Chappy report: the state of gay dating and friendship

Gay dating service Chappy has released it’s “The State of Gay Dating and Friendships” report to celebrate National Coming Out Day.

They conducted a survey to find out how the gay male LGBTQ community uses modern technologies to make connections and form relationships today.

90 percent of the respondents admitted that online dating services are an irreplaceble tool to find matches and like-minded people nowadays.

60% of respondents believe that dating apps and sites made finding people much easier.

The same 60%, however, admitted to receiving a hurtful comment from someone they met online.

Dating sites with best customer service

Newsweek partnered with Statista to collect, analyze and publish it’s newest annual customer service data across 160 categories, online dating included.

According to their results, Christian Cafe has the best customer service with score of 7.63. Elite Singles (7.08) and Bumble (6.89) took second and third places respectively.

Instagram launches Create mode

Instagram introduces its new ‘Create’ mode. The new mode helps users combine interactive stickers, drawings, and text without needing a photo or video to share

The update is mainly designed to help the more popular creators stay in contact with their following on days when they aren’t doing anything worth putting on their Story.

“On This Day” option that shows a random feed post, you shared on the same calendar date in the past. Tap the dice button to view a different On This Day post, and once you find one you prefer, you can share it to Stories as an embedded post people can open.
