CoyAmore, a new dating platform, aims to help introverted singles find love more easily.

Developed by Introwoo, the app offers features such as ‘connect-to-connect’ to limit accidental swipes and matches, and the ability for users to publicly arrange their preferred love languages to gauge compatibility.

CEO of Introwoo, Jon Pethke, hopes the app will help introverts bridge the gap in finding love, as research suggests that an estimated 30% of the world’s population identify as introverts.

Couple.com offers a million-dollar prize for an AI dating app challenge

Couple.com is introducing the Million-Dollar AI Dating App Challenge for entrepreneurs, developers, and visionaries to present their AI-based dating app concepts.

The champion will be awarded $1 million investment, and Couple.com will maintain a 10% stake in the project. The winner will also receive mentorship, resources, and industry exposure to help them succeed, while submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, market potential, AI technology, user experience design, and ability to execute.

Grindr Inc. released Q1 2023 earnings report

Grindr Inc. has released its earnings report for the first quarter of 2023, revealing a 28% YoY revenue increase of $55.8M and a gross profit of $41M, up 29% from the previous year.

However, operating expenses rose by $9.4M, and the company’s operating income was $8.6M. The net loss for Q1 was $32.9M, mainly due to factors such as loss on fair value measurement, an income tax provision, and net interest expense. Furthermore, the Average Paying Users increased by 20% YoY, and the Average Monthly Active Users reached 12.8M, a 9% growth.

Single parent dating app tackles “ghosting”

Match Group has introduced a new dating app called Even, which focuses on single parents in the UK.

The app was created in response to the growing number of single parents who experience “ghosting” in relationships due to having children. According to a survey, 57% of single parents are ghosted solely because they have children, leading to a decline in self-confidence and a desire to abandon dating altogether for 29% of those surveyed.

Even aims to provide a platform where single parents can connect with like-minded individuals without the fear of being judged for having children.
