Bonkers: New Dating App Partnered with WalkSafe
Bonkers, a new dating app, will launch in May 2023, aiming to provide users with a safe dating experience.
The app has partnered with WalkSafe, a personal safety platform, to integrate its tools into the app. WalkSafe allows users to share their destination and route with selected contacts, and also provides police crime data to help users choose a safe route. Bonkers also includes a SOS feature, facial recognition, a user rating system, blocked screenshots, and a verification process.
Plenty of Fish introduces a new feature
Plenty of Fish has launched a new feature called “No D*ck Pic” badge (NDP), which allows users to indicate that they do not want to send or receive unsolicited nude photographs.
The move follows research that found that 40% of British daters do not like such images, with 48% having received them from a match. The NDP badge is part of the app’s efforts to encourage positive dating behaviors.
Elon Musk is reportedly considering turning Twitter into a dating app
Elon Musk has expressed interest in adding a dating function to Twitter, citing low birth rates as a potential risk to civilization.
The idea was suggested by a Twitter user, who proposed the name “Twinder” for the project. The possibility of social media platforms entering the dating space has raised concerns among dating industry leaders, as platforms like Twitter have a large existing user base and access to a wide array of user data.
Muzz Announces New North America Events
Muslim dating app Muzz is hosting four new singles and social events in North America this month, including a speed dating session in Baltimore and a Singles Event in Brooklyn.
The Baltimore speed dating event is expected to attract over 300 Muslim singles, while the Brooklyn event will feature games, quizzes, and halal food.
Muzz previously hosted a speed dating event in London with over 1,000 Muslim singles in attendance.
