New reality series Pulling with My Parents gives access to dating profile to parents

Irish TV station RTÉ launched a new TV series called ‘Pulling With My Parents’.

The series consists of 6 episodes where Irish singles allow their parents to take control over their accounts on dating apps. The parents take care of profile makeovers and conversation topics.

OpenTable and Hinge teamed up to help singles plan the perfect date night

Hinge and OpenTable (restaurant-reservation service ) has teamed up to facilitate the process of searching for the best first date spot.

The event is called ‘Date Night Guide’ where tips about how to find the best eatery are provided for the newly matched pairs, based on the answers they gave to five simple questions.

Once the spot is booked, it can be shared with the partner so both of them know when and where to meet.

Hinge’s CMO Nathan Roth explained in a statement: “We recently uncovered that most Hinge members spend over an hour trying to find the perfect date spot and are hungry for recommendations. Our goal at Hinge is to help our members get off the app and out on a great date. With Date Night Matchmaker, we hope to help even more members plan a date they’ll never forget.”

Media agencies welcome Facebook Watch’s European expansion

Facebook announced the release of its own dating show to promote its Watch platform in Europe.

It partnered with a number of leading UK media agencies to further increase Facebook Watch’s popularity and bring original content to a new audience.

The new dating show is called ‘Date Fails’, created by Tastemade with pop singer Conor Maynard as the host. The show consists of short 4-6 minutes episodes where Maynard helps singles to find their love.

Mel B launches a dating podcast with Badoo

Melanie Brown, also known as Mel B, announced the launch of her new podcast series called”The Truth Flirts”. The show is created and directed by the Badoo team.

It’s a weekly show where Mel B and celebrity guests discuss online dating and share their opinion and experience on topics from ghosting to gold diggers, politics to parenthood.
